You’ve got a command of the murky, sordid details - what a tangled mess! Would it be a likely improvement to revive the Interstate Commerce Commission? Many people habitually complain about over-regulation and the burden and cost of ‘red tape’, but decades into the deregulation era a huge part of the overall result seems to be much improved opportunity for fraud, something most of us would rather live without. Or should the insurance end simply dig-in deeper to satisfy the need for due diligence? The opinion of someone like you, who’s got a genuine breadth of experience, is a decider for us clueless onlookers.
