Sorry, but the driver and the trucking 'company' owner deserve the death penalty. As much as any trucker that kills another human being (and oftentimes more, because 80,000 pounds are unforgiving when lose) - because of speeding, alcohol, or drug use. As a trucker, it is my conviction that there should be no mercy for such heinous behavior.
